It is recently reported that the security forces shot and gunned down the Pakistani terrorist who killed Sanjay Sharma, a Kashmiri Pandit in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama today. As told by the police , the terrorist named Aquib Mushtaq Bhat was shot dead during an encounter by the security forces. The encounter started at 1:30 am today when the security forces got information that two terrorists were hiding in Awantipora, a district in Pulwama.
A joint operation was launched in Pulwama district's Padgampora village by the army and the district’s police. As per the tweet by Jammu and Kashmir police, it said, “Killed terrorist identified as Aqib Mustaq Bhat of Pulwama (A category). He initially worked for HM terror outfit, nowadays he had been working with TRF. Killer of late Sanjay Sharma neutralised.”
The terrorist was identified as Aquib Mushtaq Bhat who was a resident of Pulwama. He was also in the wanted list of A-category-listed terrorists by the security forces. During the encounter, the two soldiers who were involved in the encounter were also injured and have serious injuries, one is quite critical at the moment and is admitted to the hospital. However, one terrorist is killed while 1-2 are still speculated to be hiding in the areas of Pulwama.
Sanjay Sharma, who was killed in a terrorist attack while going to market on Sunday was critically injured after the attack and was taken to the government hospital where he was declared dead. He used to work as a security guard at a bank.
