The world has now overcome all those things which have somewhere disturbed our minds. And at that crucial time of the lockdown, only the thing which was left to overcome the outside negativity was this world of entertainment.
After two years many movies are slated to be released in theatres with a high-budgeted budget and still, they got boycotted or could not impress the audience much. There are many reasons for the changed taste of the audience over three years.

But the major reason is that during the time of Covid when no director or producer was there to provide the audience with any cup of entertainment, the audience had themselves explored the things on the OTT platforms. And on OTT platforms the stories and the concepts the people have now heard and watched lifted their taste in the matter of cinematic and direction and many other things. Now, pleasing the audience and grabbing the audience's attention has become tougher for directors and scriptwriters.
There are many movies which are released in 2022 but could not earn much at the Box office:
7. Jayeshbhai Jordaar:
The movie Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be released in 2022. When we discuss the plot of the film, Jayesh, although coming from a very patriarchal home, supports equal rights for women. He devises a strategy to shield his wife from his family's wrath after learning that their second child will be a girl. There were several errors in the script, according to trade expert Atul Mohan, which is why the outcomes were favourable. The movie seemed like a good family movie based on the poster. However, the trailer was poor. The topic was out of date. Additionally, the movie had an 86 Cr budget and made 26 Cr at the box office.
6. Dhaakad:
Another huge failure was the film Dhaakad, starring Kangna Ranaut. The movie's plot is as follows: "Despite her doubts, Agent Agni accepts the assignment to find and apprehend Indian trafficker Rudraveer. However, the task quickly leads her down obscure paths. Nevertheless, IMDb has given this film a poor grade. Despite having an 85 Cr budget, the movie managed to bring in 2.5 Cr at the box office. There are numerous theories as to why this film failed, some of which include a dearth of viewers, a subpar marketing plan, a dearth of promotion, and a scheduling conflict with BB2.
5. Radhe Shyam:
The film Radhe Shyam, in which Parbhas, a well-known Tollywood actor, co-stars with Pooja Hegde. A world-famous palmist named Vikramaditya falls in love with a doctor named Prerana in 1970s Europe. However, his perception of destiny and a terminal disease put their relationship in jeopardy. The film's failure can be attributed to the fact that, despite a widespread release, the lack of attention from the public has caused its standing to decline steadily. The reports are likewise uninspiring, thus the movie will be cancelled on weekdays. Despite having a 350 Cr budget, the movie only grossed 250 Cr at the box office.
4. Raksha Bandhan:
Raksha Bandhan is a movie with Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. The eldest of four sisters and a chaat shop vendor, the movie's protagonist works tirelessly to protect his family's beliefs and keep his pledge to his dying mother. The film's failure is primarily attributable to the fact that it follows an actual frequent plot that an average individual in India can observe every other person going through a similar predicament. Even though the trailer received positive reviews, the film was unable to draw God's audience outside of the theatres. The movie barely made 62 crores at the box office despite having a budget of 100 crores.
3. Laal Singh Chaddha:
In the year 2022, the film Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Amir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Kareena Kapoor, was released. A humble man with a disability sets off on an astonishing journey and makes many acquaintances along the way, according to the movie's plot. The film's failure is without a doubt well known to all. First off, boycotting Khan's movies has become popular in India over the past two or three years. Additionally, actress Kareena Kapoor stated in an interview that "we are not calling" the public if they do not want to see our movie. The movie had a 180 Cr budget, yet it could only bring about 90 Crore at the Box office.

Despite being developed with a large budget, it did not perform well at the box office. Samrat Prithviraj's failure is a result of poor casting, ineffective marketing, a boring storyline, a lack of chart-topping music, and clap-worthy dialogue. The movie has a 175 Cr budget, and it might bring around 90 Cr at the box office.
1. Shamshera:
The movie, which will be released in 2022 and stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Vaani Kapoor, features one of the best actors ever. Shamshera, in an effort to protect his people, is assassinated by Shudh Singh and labelled a traitor. His son tries to get retribution and bring his tribe back together years later. The film's box office failure was caused by its poor storyline, lack of adequate streamlining, waste of talent, and underwhelming performance. The movie has a 150 Cr budget, and it might bring in 63 Cr at the box office.
