A piece of huge news has been making headlines regarding weapons glorification. People have until a certain date to voluntarily remove offensive content from social media, per DGP. The news has been shared by the DGP of Punjab, Gaurav Yadav. He wrote, “Appeal to Everyone to voluntarily remove any objectionable content from their Social Media handles in the next 72 hours. CM Punjab has directed that no FIRs for glorifying weapons will be registered for the next 3 days in Punjab to allow people to remove content on their own.”

Earlier, it was also noted that four people, including a 10-year-old child and his father, had been arrested by the Amritsar Rural Police for "glorifying" gun culture. However, the FIR was later withdrawn after it was revealed that the weapon in question was a "toy gun." On Wednesday, the crime was reported to the Kathunangal Police Station.

Not only this, but Punjab's Congress president, Raja Warring, has also come out with a statement against Amritpal Singh Khalsa and Amritpal Singh Mehron for glorifying hate and weapons among the people. All of this occurred after Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann prohibited the public display of firearms and songs promoting gun culture, including on social media.
