Indian Institute Of Integrative Medicines today organised a Special training programme on catalyzing rural empowerment through cultivation processing, value addition and marketing of aromatic plants (for North Eastern Region & J&K Farmers) under CSIR AROMA MISSION PHASE 2.
Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Doda, Dhanantar Singh Kotwal graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Referring to the lavender cultivation in the region, the DDC Chairman said that it was a great avenue of employment generation and will help the farmers in doubling their income.
Among others, scientists of CSIR _ Indian Institute Of Integrative Medicine and a large number of farmers from Meghalaya and Bhaderwah participated in the programme.The DDC Chairman thanked PM Narinder Modi and Union Minister Dr Jatinder Singh for guiding and motivating farmers and scientists for the successful implementation of CSIR AROMA mission.
