For the unversed, Amit Arora is also on the hit list of Khalistanis. Amit Arora was attacked in 2016. Along with this, after the death of Sudhir Suri, Amit Arora was placed under house arrest. He was also barred from going to Amritsar. The district police is constantly in touch with Amit Arora.

Manik Suri, Suri's son, said that this murder was pre-planned and that his father had received a call from the United Kingdom the night before the murder. Amritpal Singh, who answered the phone, announced to Suri that he was "sending men and the deal is done."
