Coffee is a drink that is widely accepted worldwide among people. Coffee lovers are spread all over the world. No doubt tea beats other drinks, but now coffee has become the competition of tea. This day is celebrated on 1st October with the intention of recognising the plight of the farmers of coffee beans and showing our love for the aromatic drink. First started in Japan, and in 2015 it was officially declared International Coffee Day.
Story Behind Discovery Of Coffee:
There was a person named The goat herder- Kaldi who first discovered the taste of loving beans of coffee. So the story began, Kaldi had goats. And he had a long walk with the goats so that the goats could eat whatever they wanted. Also, he walks along with the goats. While crossing the way there were trees of berries that the goats used to eat, they eat different berries from the trees. Kaldi found that his goats became more active after eating these berries every day. They didn’t even sleep at night.
Kaldi told this to the Abbot in the local monastery. Abbot had done an experiment on these berries and later he found that they kept him awake for a long period of time or hours. Then he shared his findings with another monk and all this knowledge regarding the berries which he had done started getting spread.

There are four main types of coffee that people used to consume most and these are Arabica, Robusta, Excelsa, and Liberica all four of them have radically different taste profiles. Meanwhile, people have different tastes and they prefer their tastes.
In India coffee came in the year 1670. The first record of coffee growing in India is following the introduction of coffee beans from Yemen by Baba Budan to the hills of Chikmagalur, Karnataka in 1670.

It takes a lot of hard work for the farmers to acquire them and then choose good and fresh beans for coffee.
