On the one hand, the special session of Punjab Vidhan Sabha was going on on Tuesday. On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party organized a public assembly. Candidates who contested from 117 assembly constituencies of Punjab participated in this session.
The BJP organized the session in the same way as the speaker and other members sit in the assembly session. In which all the members discussed about the shortcomings of the Punjab government and the issues of Punjab.
All members were given time to speak. All highlighted the problems of their respective areas and along with this the government's work was also discussed. This session of BJP lasted for about five hours.
Naming the airport after Shaheed Bhagat Singh is welcome
In his address, Sanjeev Vashisht, who contested on a BJP ticket from Mohali in the Assembly, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the name of Mohali International Airport to the name of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.
Which is a commendable step. He said that he had earlier placed this issue before the central government and it was also written for it. He said that he is very happy that whatever demand he puts before Prime Minister Narendra Modi, action is taken.
He said that a public interest petition was filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court by him as the president of Mohali Industries Association to start international flights from this airport. After which Dubai's first international flight started from here.
Sessions will be held from time to time to expose the government
Vashisht said that such events will be organized from time to time by the BJP to expose the Punjab government in the future also. He said that during this session the main issues of Punjab were discussed. The promises made by the government to the people were also discussed.
Because the guarantees given by the government are now slowly running away from them. The way the government has cheated the people of Punjab, there was a special discussion in this session.
