Each year since 1980,World Tourism Day has been held on 27 September.The date marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Statutes of the Organisation in 1970, paving the way for the establishment of UNWTO five years later.

September 2022, is the 42nd celebration of World Tourism Day which will be celebrated around the world. The official program will be held in Bali, Indonesia, with the theme of ‘Rethinking Tourism’. The focus will be on reviewing the growth of the tourism sector, rethinking and redeveloping tourism after the COVID-19 pandemic.
