Acting on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav, a search operation is being conducted in the state by the Punjab Police to eradicate drugs.Accordingly, DIG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and SSP Rupnagar Dr. Sandeep Garg, Rupnagar police launched a large-scale search operation against the bad elements at different places of district.
Giving information regarding this, D.I.G. Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that drug addiction is a big problem of State. But in the past, the Punjab government and the Punjab police have achieved great success in stopping drugs.
He said that keeping the same objective in mind, Rupnagar police also conducted this search operation in sensitive and hot-spot areas. On the basis of confidential information, the residences of the suspects were searched by the police.
In this campaign, it was seen that there is no external mischievous element living in the district, if living, where did he come from and what is his source of income, all these were thoroughly investigated.
Mr. Bhullar said that strict instructions have been given to police officers to take action who are indulged in drug smuggling.He said that if anyone sells drugs, strict action will be taken against him as per the law.DIG Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and SSP Dr. Sandeep Garg successfully carried out this siege and search operation with the entire team of his district.
