To strengthen the existing House Systems in the schools and infuse a broad set of social and behavioral skills among students, two day offline Training on life skills was organised today here at Government Higher Secondary School Kishtwar.
The training programme was inaugurated by Chief Education Officer, Sudarshan Sharma, in presence of Principal GHSS Kishtwar Suneeta Sharma, besides District Counselling Coordinator Sandeep Rathore and District Counsellor Arvind Kumar.
Pertinent to mention that the training programme was conducted under the patronage of Directorate of School Education Jammu, in collaboration with Bharti Foundation, which has initiated the project of inculcating 10 Life Skills among School Students aimed to infuse Life skills among Students by innovative techniques which are in consonance with National Education Policy 2022.
As many as 24 trainee teachers nominated by the Principals, Complex incharge, attended the training being conducted by the Resource Persons of Bharti foundation.Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Education officer said, "Strengthening of the House System will create a healthy competition among the students.
It will help in building skills, self- confidence and a sense of non-academic activities.The CEO also enlightened the trainees about the detailed insights of this training programme.Recalling that four Houses are already working effectively in the schools named as Eco House, Peace House, Well Being House and Wisdom House, CEO urged the trainees to make the initiative successfull by equipping themselves with life skills being taught in the training and integrate life skills approach in the day to day life activities.
