India Performance in Commonwealth Games 2022: India performed tremendously in the Commonwealth Games 2022 held in Birmingham. In this year's Commonwealth Games, India won a total of 61 medals.These include 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze medals.Most medals to India have come from wrestling and weightlifting.Indian wrestlers have won 12 medals in wrestling and weightlifters have bagged 10 medals. At the same time, India has got 3 gold medals in badminton.

Let us tell you that India finished fourth in the medal tally of the Commonwealth Games. India won a total of 61 medals this time. These include 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze medals.Apart from India, Australia secured the first position by winning 177 medals, 66 gold, 57 silver, 54 bronze. While England came second with 172 medals and Canada came third with 92 medals.

India got the last medal from the men's hockey team (Silver)

Today, on the last day of the Commonwealth Games, India got its last medal by the men's hockey team.However, the men's hockey team lost 7-0 in a one-sided game to Australia in the gold medal match today and had to be content with the silver medal.

Achant Sharath Kamal got the last gold

At the same time, India got the last gold in the Commonwealth Games by Achanta Sharath Kamal in Table Tennis. He defeated Liam Pitchford (11-13, 11-7, 11-2, 11-6, 11-8) in the Men's Singles Table Tennis match.

Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu won gold in badminton

Indian badminton player Lakshya Sen won gold on the last day of the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. He defeated Ji Yong Ng of Malaysia in the final match of men's singles badminton.Lakshya Sen registered a 19-21, 21-9, 21-16 win against Ji Yong.

On the other hand, Indian Badminton star PV Sindhu has included another big milestone in her achievements. She has won the gold medal in women's singles badminton in the Commonwealth Games 2022. This is her first gold medal in the singles event at the Commonwealth Games.

Virat Kohli gave best wishes to all the winning players On this happy occasion

Indian cricket player Virat Kohli congratulated the country's contingent for their superb performances in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham. 

"You have brought great laurels for our country. Congratulations to all our winners and the participants of CWG 2022. We are so proud of you. Jai Hind," tweeted Kohli.

The magnificent closing ceremony for the Commonwealth Games 2022 took place on Monday at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium. The Governor of Victoria received the Commonwealth Games flag. In 2026, the Commonwealth Games will be held in the Australian state of Victoria.
