Awareness program on Agnipath scheme held at Ganderbal

The District Welfare Sainik Board Srinagar in collaboration with District Administration Ganderbal today organized an awareness programme regarding Agnipath scheme at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.

 The awareness programme was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah.The purpose of program was to raise awareness among budding youth regarding Agnipath scheme in which youth from different parts of the district participated and were sensitized about the significance of the scheme. They were made aware about the registration process, eligibility criteria,  written test, physical examination and other salient features of the scheme. 

Addressing the participants on the occasion, ADDC urged the youth to take part in the process of Agnipath scheme which would provide a good opportunity for the youth to become Agniveers to serve in the armed forces and to contribute in nation building and its protection. Officials of Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Srinagar and large number of youth were also present in the awareness program.
