The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the implementation and progress under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Urban in the district.On the occasion, the chair was informed that a total of 6792 Cases are registered with the departments under which 4751 Cases have been sanctioned and the registration for approval of remaining cases are under process.
The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure that the scheme guidelines are followed in letter and spirit so that all genuine eligible beneficiaries are covered under the scheme in the district within a time frame set by the Government.On the occasion, the DC asked all the concerned officers to ensure not a single genuine beneficiary is left out of the coverage of the scheme. She said the District should be 100 percent saturated within the timeframe.
Moreover, the DC also directed to remove all bottlenecks that may impede its successful implementation.President Municipal Council Baramulla Touseef Raina, Joint Director Planning M. Yousuf Rather, ACR, Tehsildars of Baramulla/Watergam besides other functionaries of concerned departments were present on the occasion.
