Kamal Haasan’s recent release, ‘Vikram’ is having a fantastic run at the box office, on its way to becoming one of the most successful Tamil films of all time. In barely a week after its debut, it has surpassed the $250 million mark worldwide, with 100 million dollars coming from Tamil Nadu alone. Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and Suriya also star in the action-packed multi-starrer.
Trade analyst Trinath told that Vikram has grossed over ₹250 crores worldwide in its first week. “The film is having a phenomenal run, and it’s showing no sign of slowing down at the box office. In the first week, Vikram collected over ₹250 crore worldwide. It has earned over ₹100 crore in gross earnings in Tamil Nadu alone. It’s on its way to becoming one of the highest-grossing Tamil movies ever,” Trinath said.

Lokesh Kanagaraj's action-thriller is now all set to whiz past KGF: Chapter 2 to become the highest-grossing Tamil movie in Malaysia. It has also overtaken Vijay's Master to become the all-time No. 2 Tamil film in Australia.
Vikram, on the other hand, is having a remarkable run in international markets. The film's worldwide box office receipts are estimated to have totaled around Rs 80 crore.
In addition to playing the protagonist, Kamal Haasan has invested in Vikram through his Raaj Kamal International Films business. Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and Suriya also star in the film. And a Vikram sequel is already in the works.
