In order to ensure that all eligible farmers are provided with hassle-free and timely credit for their agricultural operations, the Government is launching a special campaign namely "Kisan Bhaghidari Prathmikata Hamari" from 24 April 2022 to 01 May 2022 to facilitate all farmers in getting benefits of the ongoing schemes especially the Kisan Credit Card Scheme. A Special District Consultative Committee was held under the Chairmanship Of Deputy Commissioner Parnit Shergill, IAS on 22 April 2022 at Bachhat Bhawan, Fatehgarh Sahib.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner informed that under this campaign, a special drive will be conducted from 24 April 2022 to 01 May 2022 by the banks in coordination with the District Administration, line departments, NABARD and local self-government functionaries to mobilize potential KCC beneficiaries and sanctioning of KCC by banks. She further added that a special Gram Sabha's will be conducted in the villages of the district on 24th April 2022 wherein the farmers who do not have KCC will be mobilized to fill the form by concerned. Sarpanch. They will also ensure maximum filling of forms and farmer participation in Gram Sabha and the remaining forms will be filled from 25 April 2022 to 1 May 2022.
She urged all stakeholders to make the campaign a grand success.In the meeting, LDM Jaswant Singh highlighted the need of providing KCC to eligible farmers in the district. He further reiterated the importance of participation of the Govt officials at the district level and Panchayati Raj institutions at the local level for the success of this campaign.NABARD Cluster Officer Sanjeev Kumar added that NABARD is coordinating with all stakeholders to make this campaign a grand success. NABARD is also organizing Special financial literacy camps in the district to impart awareness regarding this campaign.The meeting was also attended by A.C. Sharma, Director, RSETI, Sirhind.
