“Development is an ongoing process and I along with my team will continue to develop Ludhiana for next 5 years as well,” said Cabinet Minister and Congress candidate from Ludhiana West, Bharat Bhushan Ashu.Ashu was addressing the residents at public meetings held at Tagore Nagar, Housing Board Colony, Sunet and other areas.During the public meetings, Ashu said that after becoming MLA for second time and also becoming a cabinet minister, his responsibility towards the society increased because the people of Ludhiana West trusted him in 2017 elections and to retain that trust he and his team worked day and night to fulfill the promises that were made with the public.“Today, the parks have developed, the residents of BRS Nagar have got a green valley to walk and spend leisure time in nature cover.

Besides, waterfront was developed along Sidhwan Canal, then road infrastructure was improved and the famous Sarabha Nagar Market was developed. The barren lands, where one used to dump garbage, have turned into beautiful parks. Apart from this, government schools were upgraded, a Railway-over-bridge and rail-under-bridge project has already been started and it is near completion. He added that to curb the menace of open garbage dumps, static waste compactors are being planned across the constitution and six compactors  installed in Sarabha Nagar, Rishi Nagar, Hambran Road, BRS Nagar, Lodhi Club Road and Barewal Road are working where garbage is segregated and compacted and then transferred to main dump.“So, these all were the projects carried out just to make Ludhiana West the most developed area. I delivered what I promised and I am here again to seek your support and promise that I will continue to carry out development projects to provide all necessary benefits to the residents of this constituency,” he added.
