Vijay Inder Singla launches 'Safe City Project' to ensure security of villages of Sangrur constituency

Punjab School Education and Public Works Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla launched a pilot project to install high-quality cameras in the villages of Sangrur constituency from  Balian village. Speaking on the occasion, the Cabinet Minister Vijay Inder Singla said that this project was being launched for the first time in Punjab as pilot project and under this  project high-resolution cameras would be installed at every entry and exit point of all 87 villages of Sangrur and Bhawanigarh subdivisions. He said that after the success of this  pilot project being implemented in Sangrur constituency, it would be launched across Punjab.Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that in order to strengthen the security of the villages in  Sangrur constituency, he had specially got the project approved from the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh. He said that during the tenure of the Congress government, he  has been committed to make Sangrur the best constituency in Punjab and continuous efforts were being made in this direction which were also yielding fruitful results. He said  that the live recording of every camera would be available at police control room and at concerned police stations. He added that in case of any untoward incident, these cameras  would be very useful to identify the culprits.The Cabinet Minister said that PWD has been made the nodal agency for the installation of cameras and setting up of control rooms  and it would carry out this project in a transparent manner. He said that special care was being taken for the quality of cameras to be installed under this project. On this  occasion, Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Mr. Ramvir, SSP  Vivek Sheel Soni, S.P.  Headquarters Alam Vijay Singh among several other dignitaries were also present.
