Today the Samagam began with a colourful rally by Sant Nirankari Sewa Dal volunteers. Thousands of men and women in uniroform participated. They presented some PT exercises, acrobats and games and also impressive cultural items to highlight the importance of selfless service to humanity as an expression of devotion to God. The member incharge of Sewa Dal Shri Harbans Lal Arora sought blessings from His Holiness so that they continue to dedicate themselves to the service of the Mission and the mankind.
Blessing the rally Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj said that Sewa Dal volunteers are not only assisting in arrangements during congregations and big Samagams, but they are always ready to participate in the rescue and rehabilitation activities in case of any natural calamity anywhere in the country. They are also taking active part in the Mission’s blood donation and other social welfare activities.
Baba Ji said that no service is important or unimportant, it is our own thinking that makes it so. He appreciated the spirit of discipline, devotion and dedication of the volunteers and said they are setting a beautiful example for others. He said that they consider Sewa as a sign of good fortune and participate in the same even while fulfilling their domestic and social responsibilities.
