Let us make this earth a heaven. Then, there will be no need to worry about the same after death. If we are able to make our life beautiful here, our life hereafter is bound to be beautiful. We are certainly going to cross this ocean of materialism and have a clean face in the pine court of God.
This was observed by Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj while addressing the Mamoth gathering of State-level Nirankari Sant Samagam of Himachal Pardesh at Bharoli near Jawalamukhi of Kangra District in Himachal Pardesh, while addressing a huge congregation on the first day of the State-level Nirankari Sant Samagam of Himachal Pradesh. The 2-day Samagam is being attended by thousands of devotees not only from all over the State of Himachal Pradesh but Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi also.
His Holiness said that fanatic people commit all kinds of cruelties, indulge in blood-shed in the name of religion saying that they will go to heaven if they do all this to save their own religion. This is, however not possible at all. How can one hope for heaven by creating a hell here? How can one dream of becoming immortal by killing fellow beings?
Baba Ji said that in order to save religion and become truly religious, we have to safe-guard humanity. If humanity is strengthened, religion survives automatically because true religion preaches human values like love, compassion, tolerance and peaceful coexistence and not hatred, jealousy, animosity and violence. As Kabir Ji says, reading and reciting of religious books does not make one a true priest, it is done by love only. If this earth appears to be a hell l, it is because man has failed to live with love, peace and cooperation.
Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj pointed out that all saints, Gurus and prophets, all spiritual masters and great devotees always advised man to rise above narrow-mindedness and selfishness and lead a life based on human unity. He said that man harmed man because he behaved like a frog in the well considering his own caste and religion as everything. Saints always taught the lesson of oneness. They always pointed out that all human beings are the children of the same Supreme Father and made from the same five elements irrespective of religion, caste, language culture and region. We have, therefore, to treat them as our own kith and kin and ourselves too as members of this global family.
Baba Ji said that even today the saints are trying to remind man of the teachings of saints, Gurus and prophets emphasising that they are not meant for reading and reciting, but adopting in day-to-day life. The purpose of such Samagams is to awaken everybody towards this and inspire them to adopt the path shown by saints as early as possible. He pointed out that life may end any moment. Hence we must awaken from ignorance and attain pine light while there is still time at our disposal. Let us not waste it in negative feelings of hatred, jealousy and ego. Let us adopt the path of oneness of mankind based on oneness of God.
Several dignatories attended the Samagam and sought the pine blessings of His Holiness.
The BJP MLA of Nadaun Vijay Agnihotri welcomed Baba Ji and his gracious spouse Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji and said that they have consecrated the land of this area by holding this Samagam here. He said that the Sant Nirankari Mission in general and His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj in particular are rendering a great service to humanity since they are not only preaching but presenting a living example of life based on human values like love, peace and tolerance in an atmosphere where every field of life – political, social, religious and economic is losing its basic values. He said it is heartening to see the atmosphere of peace, love and cooperation prevailing here, while we see only negative feelings elsewhere.
