MLA Gidderbaha Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and DC Muktsar M K Arvind Kumar today visited Bhunder village where there was a spurt in the number of positive cases and the entire village was sealed on Monday.Village Sarpanch Sukhdev Singh said during the onset 41 villagers were reported positive last month following which testing was intensified in the village.Two persons lost their lives and at present two elderly persons are serious whose condition is continuously monitored by health officials.Sarpanch said that now gradually with the intervention of district administration and MLA Raja Warring the number of positive cases are now on the decline and the spread is being arrested.Chairman District Cooperative Bank Sahib Singh Bhunder said that as per Tuesday’s reports 8 people were reported positive out of the total samples obtained in the village. As per today’s figure, six people are reported positive in the village.During today’s visit Deputy Commissioner interacted with the village people, visited isolation center in government school and assured villagers of all possible help.He was informed that sanitisation was done in the entire village and even the Dhani’s (houses in outskirts) were also sanitised. On villagers demand DC assured to provide masks, sanitation machines and also assigned the task of holding vaccination camp to the health department.Earlier in the morning MLA Amarinder Singh Raja Warring accompanied by SDM Gidderbaha, DSP Narinder Singh used a mobile loudspeaker to address the villagers and urged them to get their tests conducted, undergo vaccination and do not gather at one particular place.
