Vijay Inder Singla Releases Stickers On Government Schools Admission Campaign and calendar on achievements of education department

Punjab School Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla released the stickers prepared by the Education Department to boost admission campaign and the calendar depicting the achievements of the department. Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that in order to further improve the quality of education and to provide better infrastructure in the government schools, around 13000 schools have been converted into smart schools so far.  He said that as a result of this enrollment in government schools has been increasing and during the current academic session, the government schools have registered over 15% more admissions as compared to last year.  He said that under the Smart School Campaign 41336 classrooms of about 13000 schools have been converted into Smart Classrooms in less than two years.  He said that the condition of school rooms, playgrounds, education parks, science laboratories and toilets has been improved.  He said that smart schools are technology based learning institutes which prepare the children for the overall development of the students as well as the society based information and knowledge.

 Disclosing this here today District Education Officer (elementary) Sangrur Dharmapal Singla said that due to the infrastructural development of government schools in the last few years, the enrollment of children in various schools in the district has increased and faith of people was also being restored in government schools. He said that the teachers were making the people aware of the achievements of their respective schools through social media and for this purpose one teacher has been appointed as the nodal officer in each school.  The department has also taken major initiatives to present the achievements of government schools to the society such as installation of flex boards, posters, stickers for vehicles and a wonderful calendar showing the achievements of government schools. The calendar will be sent to every school in the district so that every person visiting the school should be informed about the achievements of the department. Mr. Kuldeep Singh Bhullar Member PSEB, Mr. Gurmeet Singh BPEO, Mr. Jaspreet Singh Nagra parho Punjab Coordinator, Mr. Kamaljit Singh Smart School Coordinator, Mr. Jasveer Singh and Mr. Jagdish Singh in charge Media Team were also present on the occasion.
