District kapurthala police scripted a grand success story in last two months by arresting 50 POs in various NDPS , Excise and other criminal cases under the special caimpaign.Kanwardeep Kaur IPS, SSP Kapurthala said that " the district police has adopt a comprehensive plan to not only arrest the POs on the run from years but also to attach their properties which they earn with illegal means".She said that special teams have been assigned for these duties to arrest the POs under the Vishaljit Singh SP (Investigation) and Sarabjit Rai, DSP which shows great sucess in this task.A total of 50 POs were arrested besides attaching of property worth Rs. 1 crore of 3 POs. These arrested POs included 15 arrest under section 82,83 CrPC and 35 under section 299 of CrPCs.16 of arrested POs are registered under NDPS ACT, Excise act have 4 and IPC has 30 .All the information about the arrested POs from this district is to be updated on website.
