District Administration Udhampur, under the supervision of District Development Commissioner, Dr Piyush Singla today organized weekly Block Diwas cum grievances redress camps at all block headquarters of the district.Seniors officers from District Administration were deputed to different blocks where they listened to public issues and provided varied services including domicile certificates, income and other certificates. Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Ashok Kumar presided over the hearing at Block Basantgarh,and listenbed to issues projected by the locals, PRIs and individuals, wome of which were resolved on the spot while rest were forwarded to the concerned departments for timely redressal.At Block Dudu, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Syed Khan, was apprised by the locals about their grievances and sought early redressal of the same. They sought road connectivity, Clearance of pending payments under MGNREGA and other issues of public importance.Meanwhile, the designated senior officers listened to the public issues at other Block head quarters. A Block Ramnagar, Block divas was organized at Town Hall wherein Sarpanchs of all Panchayats, panches and people apprised the Chief Planning Offficer, Rajeev Bhushan about various problems being faced by them. They demanded renovation of roads, improvement of drainage system, augmentation of drinking water, power supply , adequate ration, Parking facility to address problem of Traffic Jam. The CPO assured early redress of genuine demands.
