MVD Kulgam organises Health and Medical camp at Yaripora

In continuation to the activities being carried out to celebrate 32nd Road Safety Month-2021 across the state, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Kulgam in collaboration with Health department today organised a Medical and Health Check up Camp at Yaripora Sumo Stand.The camp was inaugurated by Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Kulgam, Dr Mohammad Zubair Lattoo.On the occasion, the officials of Health department conducted the health check up of the Drivers including Blood pressure check, sugar tests and eye check up etc. The camp witnessed a huge rush of participants and as many as 80 drivers availed the health facility at the camp.Other road activities were also organised on the occasion during which Commendation certificates and coffee mugs were distributed to the road users who were seen following road rules on ground.Later, a number of delegations from various parts of the tehsil met ARTO Kulgam and apprised him of their grievances including excess fare charges and lack of transport facility to different routes. The ARTO listened to them patiently and redressed their grievances on the spot.Speaking on the occasion, the ARTO said that the main objective of holding the camp was to provide medical facility to drivers  at their door step. They were also given tips about safe driving and precautions to be adopted while driving.SHO Yaripora, MVD Inspector and Health officials besides others concerned were present on the occasion.
