A youth from Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district was honoured by Indian Book of Records with Indian Humanitarian Award 2020 and a medal of honour at Telengana, Hyderabad on 08th December.Sahil Mudasir who hails from South Kashmir's Melhura Village of District Shopian was honoured by Indian Book of Records for his selfless commitment, honesty, compassion and inspiration for exemplifying with his humanitarian work towards mankind.Sahil has Authored Two books namely, "The Shadows" And " secrets of an occupied heart" in 2019 and 2020 which were published by Wular Publishing house and litlight Publications, respectively. He is an internationally recognized poet and author who has been awarded with many certificates of achievement at various platforms globally. Sahil Mudasir is a Teacher by Profession currently working at GEMS Public School Anantnag. His name is counted among the famous English teachers of the valley. Apart from this, Sahil has Co-authored more than half a dozen books chief among them are "SHEEN" ,"Inked Gems" and "Dreamers Never Die" which were published both national as well as by international publishers.
While talking to the news agency Sahil said, 'From 2014, I started writing Articles & Peoms, for different reputed Journals,Magazines and newspapers and then I decided to come up with my own book later.Finally my dreams come true in 2019 when I published my first book "The Secrets of an Occupied Heart". And later in 2020 came up with another anthology " The Shadows".He further added that in future he will write more and is hopeful to publish more books. He said,"I am Thankful and happy that Indian book of Records" recognize my work and honored me with such a prestigious award. I dedicate this award to my Late Father and Late uncle who are real inspiration behind my success. Regards and indebtness to my mother who burnt her blood to bring enlightenment in me. It will be gross injustice not to mention care, guidance,love of my teachers, especially Mr Malik Wasim Raja and all my well wishers." Moreover, it is pertinent to mention that the award was supposed to be conffered upon him by the hands of Dr. GVNRSSS Vara Prasad, Advocate, Supreme Court of India, at Hyderabad, Telangana, India but unfortunately he couldn't attend this function due to the present unfavourable circumstances in person and,therefore, recieved the same by post.Sahil Mudasir has pursued Post Graduation in English Literature at Kashmir University and has qualified two times Net (National Eligibility Test).
