Bandaru Dattatreya signs visitor book of Reporting Room

Governor Bandaru Dattatraya today signed a Visitor Book to be placed at Reporting Room, the Mall, Shimla and recorded his first comment in the book presented by Mohit Chawla, Superintendent of Police, Shimla, at Raj Bhavan.On the occasion, the Governor wrote, Police Reporting Room located on the splendid corridors of the picturesque Mall road, housed in the Gaiety Heritage complex opened in 1887. Since its inception the building had housed a Police Office. He appreciated this initiative of district police administration and said that the police reporting room since time immemorial has been the first help response for the visitors to erstwhile British Summer Capital. He further added that strategically located, it has been acting as a strong pillar of law, by checking crime and ensuring efficient police response.On the occasion, Shri Chawla wished New Year greetings to the Governor and thanked him for their valuable comments on the Visitors Book. He apprised the Governor that with this visitors book, team Shimla police has made a small effort that people of Shimla and the dignitaries visiting the city record their memories which shall be there for time immemorial.  Pramod Shukla, ASP, Sushil Kumar, ASP and  Manmohan, Dy SP were also present on the occasion.
