Mr Viveksheel Soni, IPS, SSP Ludhiana (Rural) have informed that on May 25, 2020, an unidentified dead body with iron cable around the neck, was found in the fields behind Punjabi Bagh. After this incident, FIR number 65 dated May 25, 2020, under section 302 of IPC was registered at Police Station Jagraon City. During the course of investigation, the deceased was identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Hariar, resident of Sundergarh (Orissa).The investigation into this matter was initiated and accused Mohd Abdul, son of Nizamdeen alias Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa son of Bhagwant Singh, resident of Manakpur Khera, Tehsil Rajpura, district Patiala and presently resident of near Sem Nala Jagraon has been arrested today. While confessing his crime, the accused stated that he is habitual of having unnatural sex and had sexually abused the deceased before murdering him. He stated that he murdered Sanjay Kumar so that he does not tell anyone about his habit and also he wanted to frame Sanjay’s employer Jagtar Singh, son of Manjit Singh, resident of Malak Road, Jagraon in murder.The SSP informed that Jagtar’s fields are adjoining to the accused’s house and both had altercation after Jagtar did not let the accused pass through his fields. So to teach Jagtar a lesson, he killed his employee Sanjay Kumar. The cops have recovered the other part of iron cable used in crime, Sanjay’s clothes (that he had hidden in bushes) from the accused’s possession. The key of a room, that used to be in possession of Sanjay Kumar, has also been recovered from his possession.During investigation, the accused confessed that he had murdered a migrant boy in the year 2017 and an FIR number 25 dated February 9, 2017, under section 302, 34, 201 of IPC has already been registered at Police Station City Jagraon. The SSP informed that with the arrest of Mohd Abdul, son of Nizamdeen alias Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa, the Ludhiana (Rural) police have solved two blind murder cases. The police officials said that the accused is a serial killer and they expect more revelations in the coming days.
1 KG 200 Grams Opium Recovered:
In another case, a Special Campaign against drug Smugglers has been initiated. During this campaign, under Supervision of SSP Sh. Vivek Sheel Soni, IPS and Sh. Rajbir Singh SP(D), Ludhiana (Rural), ASI Sukhdev Singh, CIA Staff Jagraon along with the police party were present at Bus Stand Chowkiman who were under close supervision of Sh. Dilbagh Singh DSP D, Ludhiana (Rural) ) and SI Simranjit Singh I/C CIA Staff, Jagraon.He received secret information that Vishal Singh @ Vicky S/O Balwant Singh r/o Mugalpura & Deepak Kumar @ Deepu s/o Charan Dass Model Town deals in drugs illegally. At this ASI Sukhdev Singh got the case FIR no. 70 dated 26.05.2020 u/s 18/25/61/85 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Sadar Jagraon. After the registration of the case SI Baldev Singh along with police party imposed nakabandi at Police Post Chowki man. During Nakabandi accused Vishal Singh @ Vicky S/O Balwant Singh r/o Mugalpura & Deepak Kumar @ Deepu s/o Charan Dass Model Town Hoshiarpur alongwith their Tempoo Travel Truck No. PB-10BH-6188 were nabbed by the police. After search 1 Kg. 200 gm Opium was recovered from them.
