In a first of its kind initiative, 15 days technology driven, orientation workshop for preschool teachers organized by Directorate of School Education, Jammu successfully concluded today.The workshop was aimed at to equipping 60 Preschool teachers of Jammu division with knowledge and skills required for effective transaction of NCERT's Preschool curriculum in newly established pre-primary sections in government schools.Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta said that in order to make the orientation course more effective, interesting and goal oriented, national level resource persons were also involved by Directorate of School Education, Jammu. The training was conducted in collaboration with expert faculty of NCERT, New Delhi.Prominent personalities namely Prof. Usha Sharma, Prof. Reetu Chandra from DEE, NCERT, Prof. Dr. Pawan Sudhir, HoD, Department of Education in Arts and Aesthetics, NCERT, and also Shikha, Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi, Savitri Singh, Ex. Principal Nursery, IIT Delhi actively contributed in imparting the training as per the module devised by Division Level Resource Center (DLRC) of Directorate of School Education, Jammu. Resource persons from JKUT included Jaswinder Kour and Dr. Sareeta Sharma, Coordinators, DLRC for Preschools in Jammu.Participants in the workshop were actively engaged through online study material, audios, videos, assignments and expert sessions through online face to face interaction. All the teacher trainees showed an overwhelming, active and constructive response throughout the program.The workshop was successfully conducted and coordinated by Jaswinder Kour, Dr. Sareeta Sharma and Sohail Wani.
