Mayor SMC, Junaid Azim Mattu called a meeting to review the post snow fall scenario and dewatering operation in low lying areas of Srinagar, here today.The newly elected Deputy Mayor, Parviaz Ahmad Qadri and other senior officers from Drainage Circle were present in the meeting.The Drainage Circle was asked to gear up man and machinery to ensure dewatering from all water-logged areas without any delay. Later, the Mayor conducted an extensive tour of Srinagar City to monitor snow clearance and dewatering operation. He visited Karan Nagar, Lal Chowk, Poloview, State Bank Lane, Regal Lane, Palladium Lane, Hari Singh High Street, Barzulla, Ikhrajpora, Lal Mandi, Darish and Kadal Noor Bagh. He was accompanied by Commissioner, SMC, Khursheed Ahmad Sanai, Joint Commissioner (Works) Ishtaiq Ahmad Shah, Secretary SMC Muhammad Akbar Sofi and other senior officers of the SMC.
