Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary inaugurated a Total Knee, Hip Replacement Camp at District Hospital Kargil here on Thursday.Senior Director Knee Division, Bone and Joint Division Medanta Dr Attique Vasudev was also present on the occasion. The camp has been jointly organized by the Bone and Joint Division, Medanta-the Medicity Gurgaon in collaboration with Baqiriya Health Care and Research Centre Kargil, District Administration Kargil and Department of Health and Family Welfare Kargil.On the occasion the DC appreciated the efforts of the organizers in organizing the camp and complimented them for providing world class total knee and replacement facilities to the needy patients of the district. The DC also hailed the activities of Baqiriya Health Care particularly the Free Vaccination of Hepatitis to all the population of Kargil and said that volunteerism is the key to a prosperous and successful society. The DC while expressing his indebtedness to Medanta-the Medicity particularly Dr Vasudev said that coming to the far-flung area of Kargil is in real sense a patriotic approach and there is no any patriotism above such activities.Dr Vasudev also hailed the spirit of the volunteers of Baqiriya Healthcare and assured that he will again visit Kargil for such volunteerism and free camps. Meanwhile, President Baqiriya Health Care and Research Centre Kargil Dr Willayat Ali thanked the team of Dr Attique Vasudev and hoped that he will encourage the volunteers of Baqiriya by visiting Kargil in future.
