Dhruv Dahiya IPS, SSP/Khanna has disclosed that the Khanna police has started a special campaign against the Drug Trafficking & misdemeanours, during which, the Khanna Police received huge success today, when around 55 kilograms of Ganja was recovered from the possession of two persons.He informed that Inspector Karnail Singh SHO/Doraha, Sub Inspector Labh Singh Narcotic Cell Khanna & ASI Avtar Singh PS/Doraha alongwith police party were present at Hi-Tech Naka in Doraha and were conducting the checking of suspected vehicles/persons. While checking, two persons were coming from Bus stand side on foot & carrying big bags on their heads. After seeing the police party, they threw their bags & tried to run, but on the suspicion, police party nabbed them.During questioning, they were identified as Jila Singh S/o Golu Ram & Rasalu S/o Raj Mall, both residents of Chittorgarh (Rajasthan), but now residing at Grain Market near Canadian Hospital, Village Aur, Distt. SBS Nagar (Nawa Shehar).The SSP informed that on the frisking of their bags, 55 kg of Ganja was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No 23 dt 10.02.19 U/s 20/61/85 NDPS Act at PS/Doraha has been registered and the accused have been arrested. He said that the culprits are still being questioned & there is a possibility of major disclosures.
