A Medical-cum-certificate camp was organized today at village Bhangai, with the objective to provide Medical facilities to the people at their doorsteps and continuing the mass outreach drive launched by Deputy Commissioner, Dr Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary for providing services to the public under Public Service Guarantee Act, (PSGA).A team comprising of doctors, paramedics and officials of health department rendered their services to 218 patients who were examined for different ailments and treated during the day-long camp. Free medicines were also distributed to the needy.On the occasion, 280 certificates including old age certificates, certificates for labour purposes, Medical illness certificates, Medical Fitness certificates, widow certificates, mental illness certificates were issued on the spot.The participants were sensitized towards practicing healthy lifestyle so as to ward off diseases, awareness regarding importance of sanitation, breastfeeding, HIV-AIDS, Save Girl Child, Care of newborn, use of iodized salt, benefit of institution delivery, mental Health and detail of Health Schemes and programmes. Pamphlets regarding the same were also distributed by Health team.
