A 3-day national workshop on research methodology commenced here today at Government Women’s College, Parade.The workshop has been organised by Jammu & Kashmir Higher Education Department as part of its capacity building programme of faculty members, research scholars and college students.Principal Secretary, Higher Education department Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon was Chief Guest at the inaugural function.In his inaugural address, Dr Samoon highlighted the importance of research projects in colleges and Universities, while emphasising on use of the modern methodology to achieve a tangible outcome.He assured to provide necessary financial support to the higher education institutions for starting research by strengthening infrastructure and libraries. Professors from all state, central universities and research scholars are participating in the workshop.Earlier, Prof. Richa Tanvi delivered the key note address.
