LCET Students visited to Ludhiana Chandigarh National 6 Lane Highway Project Site

A group of 60 Students of Civil Engineering Department of Ludhiana College of Engineering & Technology visited Ceigall India Ltd Road Construction Site. Students met the project manager and two of the approved engineers working on the project.They took the students around the Wet Concrete Mix Plant and explained the various elements, which are used to make the wet concrete in the Hi-Tech machines.The students were surprised by the size of the project and the different skills and materials used.Students were shown different techniques of landfill, Pile boring, RCC Girders, RCC Foundation, various onsite soil tests and study of blueprints for various construction elements for completing a project of this scale.They also experienced the real life working of different machines, road rollers, trippers and JCBs.Chairman LCET Vijay Gupta said at the moment that such visits provide budding engineers practical information to gain necessary hands-on experience to become result oriented
