Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while addressing the gathering on the closing ceremony of the International Minjar Fair sports prize distribution function at historic Chamba Chaugan today, said that the  unrest at Tissa in Churah constituency, due to conflict between communities was under control however strict action would be taken against those who were flaring up the issue.He said that the rumours spread fast than good words of mouth, and we need to refrain from spreading such rumours. He said that the government would certainly take strict action against those who were involved in the loot and arson and damaging the public property at Tissa. ''I have come to learn that few people in opposition were also trying to create differences, leading to conflicts and I assure that the guilty would be brought to book'', said the Chief Minister. He said that inaugurations and foundation stones, which were to be performed by him in Tissa, were dedicated from Chamba Chaugan. Not because that he didn’t wanted go to Tissa because of the unrest prevailing there , but he was running short of time and without chopper service he had to leave to Shimla.

He said that the classes in Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College Chamba would be started from 1st September, 2017  and the requisite staff had been posted. This is an asset for Chamba and the people would be benefited by the expert medical services in future. As many as 72 students have taken admission which include 13 Non -Resident Indians and 15 from rest of the country, besides others selected from All India Quota. The Chief Minister said that fairs and festivals were inseparable part of our day to day life and needed to be preserved. He said that the Minjar fair was celebrated since from time immemorial and was an important fair of the state. We need to preserve it and pass the traditions and customs to the coming generations. Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh inaugurated Government Degree College building Bhanjraru constructed with an outlay of Rs.9.46 crore from Chamba Chaugan. He also inaugurated a bridge over Chinwas Nallah on Colony Mod Tissa-Sawa-Saranger road constructed with a cost of Rs.1.16 crore and another  bridge over Baba Da Nallah completed with a cost of Rs. 65 crore. 

The Chief Minister laid foundation stone of   double lane bridge over Tissa Nallah on Chamba-Tissa road to cost Rs. 5.89 crore, He also laid foundation stone of the Primary Health Centre building Bounderi completed  with an outlay of Rs. 45 lakh,  foundation stone of Trella Nallah and Bhangi Nallah bridge on Trella Bounderi Mangli road to be constructed with a cost of Rs.3.28 crore and Rs. 1.96 crore respectively. He also distributed prizes to the winners of different sports events organised during a weeklong Minjar Festival.Forest Minister Thakur Singh Bharmauri, Member All India Congress Working Committee (CWC)  and AICC Secretary Smt. Asha Kumari, Chairman H.P. State Pollution Control Board Shri Kuldeep Singh Pathania,  DCC President, Shri Surinder Bhardwaj, Vice Chairman H.P. State Forest Development Corporation Shri Kewal Singh Pathania, Chairman Zila Parishad Shri Dharam Singh Pathania, Chairman APMC Shri Neeraj Nayyar, Principal Medical College Chamba Shri Anil Ohri were present amongst others.
