Rattan Group of Institutions Holds Drugs Awareness rally under the banner awareness is key to minimize drug addiction

Rattan Group of Institutions Sector 78 organized Drug awareness rally in sector 78 & Sohana village to aware the people of bad effects of drugs and alcohol on human health , personal & social life. Management also conducted a seminar in campus to aware students about bad effects of drugs. Chairman, RGI , Sunder Lal Aggarwal flagged off the Rally.There were check points at the  route , for making rally comfortable for the students .The Arrangements of fruits ,water ,juice and medicals facility were also available  .Students Carried  placards that read ‘Say no to drugs. While raising slogans, the volunteers marched through various localities and contributed to aware to protect present and future generations from the ill effects of drugs.According to Sangeeta Aggarwal member RGI the surveys provide startling revelations that the people start using drugs as early as at the age of 10 & this first use generally converted into abuse then harmful use and dependence & finally Addiction. 

Some of the intoxicants commonly used include tobacco, alcohol, heroin, etc. and some medicines when taken in large quantities, act as drugs.Amarjit Kaur Principal Nursing College added that there is not even a single benefit of using drugs except temporary illusion for a few hours whereas its harmful effects are countless. She highlighted that this habit starts with experimentation, prompted by friends. Principal Amarjit Kaur explained the justification of controversial decisions like permitting liquor shops in almost every market, making syringes available by National Aids Control Organisation (NACO) free of cost . Speaking on the occasion, Chairman RGI Sunder Lal Aggarwal said that awareness is key to minimize drug addiction. If the youth, especially in their teenage, are made aware of the fact that this experimentation can very soon make them dependent & finally drug addicts then they will definitely resist the temptation of tasting a drug for the sake of having a feel of its effect.
