Union Minister of Human Resource Development  Prakash Javadekar today digitally inaugurated the Administrative Block of Nagrota Engineering College in Kangra district during a function organized at New Delhi while launching the Fund and Reform Tracker developed by Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).The Technical Education Ministers of various States participated in the event.Speaking on the occasion, Technical Education Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri G.S. Bali urged the Union Government to enhance the grant under RUSA in the proportion of 90:10 keeping in view the tough topography of this hilly State. He also suggested to bring further reforms in parameters of technical education so as to ensure quality education to the youth. Shri Bali raised the issue to bring flexibility in terms and conditions for spending amount under RUSA and also requested for giving more thrust on imparting quality education to the students of backward classes and those residing in the tribal areas. Expressing  concern over the incidences of drug abuses in youth, he demanded to constitute a special committee to check this menace in engineering colleges and other vocational institutes.Javadekar assured that the demands raised by Shri Bali would be considered sympathetically.
