Two killed, 4 injured after tree falls on passenger vehicle near Banihal

At least two persons were killed and five injured after a pine tree fell on a passenger vehicle near Banihal on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Monday. The incident occurred at Magerkote area of Banihal town.Police sources told news agency CNS that a Tavera (JK0E-5920) was heading towards Jammu from Srinagar when it came under a mighty tree. “Two persons including the driver died on spot while four wounded passengers were shifted to Banihal hospital for treatment.Station House Officer Ramsoo, Muneer Ahmed Khan identified the deceased as Gulzar Ahmed Dar son of Ghulam Nabi of Mattan Anantnag and Kuldeep Kumar son of Nanak Chand, a resident of Kathua Jammu.The injured who are being treated in the hospital have been identified as Nisar Ahmed Mir son of Abdul Salam of Dooru Anantnag, Muhammad Suliaman son of Aadhman Muhammad, Nisar Ansari son of Mumtaz Ali and Aftab Ahmed son Data Ali all residents of Jharkhand.
