Senior Pro-freedom leader and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Zaffer Akbar Bhat was, today accorded a warm welcome at Srinagar airport on his arrival from Pakistan.Zaffer Akbar Bhat was received by a large number of people including Hurriyat leaders and activists at the airport. Amid slogans, a big procession accompanied Zaffer Akbar Bhat up to Salvation Movement headquarters. People were raising slogans in favor of Islam, Azadi, Pro-Pakistan slogans.Addressing a mammoth gathering on the occasion, the Bhat paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs. He said that the day was not far off when the Kashmiris would get freedom from India. He expressed satisfaction over his visit to Pakistan and informed that Pakistan has assured to continue moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmir freedom struggle till Kashmir gets resolved according to UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people who have offered countless sacrifices.He thanked the country for its overwhelming support and hospitality to delegation during its stay in Pakistan.

Bhat said that he raised issues of Sanaik colony, Industrial policy and other policies at all platforms in Pakistan and informed the country about the designs of Indian government.Earlier a day, Zaffer Akbar Bhat met Kashmir committee Chairman Moulnana Fazul-ul-Rehman in Pakistan and apprised him about the prevailing situation of Kashmir. he was accompanied by APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Mohd Safi, Hurriyat leaders Altaf Ahmad Bhat, Dr Waleed Rasool, Sheikh Abdul Muteen and Advocate Parved Ahmad.During the meeting, Zaffer Akbar Bhat apprised Moulnana Fazul-ul-Rehman about those Indian policies through which India is contemplating a demographic change in Kashmir as to convert the muslim majority state into minority. He apprised him about the continuous detention of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirvaiz Umar Farooq, Mohd Yasin Malik and other pro-freedom leaders, activists and innocent youth.On the occasion Kashmir Committee Chairman, Moulnana Fazul-ul-Rehman assured support to Kashmir cause, however emphasized the need of unity among Hurriyat ranks. He said that without the resolution of Kashmir dispute, peace in the region can’t be guaranteed.Stating that the dialogue was only peaceful way to resolve the dispute, Moulnana Fazul-ul-Rehman said that India’s stagnant policy always spoiled the process. “If India want to resolve the dispute then a credible dialogue process needs to initiated,” he said.
