Irrigation and Public Health Minister Vidya Stokes inaugurated the 4th Himalayan Consumer Fair organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Tourism Department here today.Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Stokes said that Himachal Pradesh Government had taken various initiatives to attract entrepreneurs to the State and added that industries play significant role in strengthening the economy of the State. She said that industrialization boosts employment opportunities and efforts were being made to create an industrial friendly atmosphere in the State.She said that State Government had always redressed the grievances of industrialists on priority.
She lauded the efforts of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry for organising the fair and hoped that it would go a long way in strengthening the relations with industrialists of neighbouring States besides promoting business.President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shri Mahesh Gupta briefed about the activities of the Chamber. He said that various trade fairs were being organized through the platform.Regional Director, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr. Praveen Rathi, Chairman Shimla Chapter, Shri Dhyan Chand, Co-Chairman Shri Ashish Bagrodia also spoke on the occasion.Industrialists of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Hyderabad and Himachal Pradesh are participating in the four day long fair.
