Under Punjab government's Chief Minister Tirath Darshan Yatra Scheme, a special train carrying pilgrims from Payal to Sri Hazoor Sahib (Nanded) reached back at Railway Station, Doraha today evening. The train was welcomed by Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal.This train, carrying more than 1000 pilgrims from Payal constituency and several government officials, was led by former MLA Mr Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal. This train was flagged off by Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal on June 1, 2016.SGPC member Jathedar Raghbir Singh Saharan Majra , Chairman Market Committee Malaud Jathedar Gurjit Singh Pandherkheri, District President SC Wing Shiromani Akali Dal Jathedar Manjit Singh Madnipur and President BC Wing Payal Constituency Jathedar Sohan Singh Bhangoo, were also part of this pilgrimage.This special train comprised of 15 coaches and had reached Nanded on June 3, 2016. During their visit, the pilgrims visited Takht Shri Hazoor Sahib, Gurudwara Mal Tekri Sahib, Gurudwara Hira Ghat Sahib, Gurudwara Shikar Ghat Sahib, Gurudwara Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, Gurudwara Sangatsar Sahib, Gurudwara Banda Ghat Sahib, Gurudwara Nagina Ghat Sahib, Gurudwara Langar Sahib, besides others.Under this Yojana, the Punjab government paid for this comfortable journey enabling people to have darshan of the holy places in and around Nanded. Any person can undertake this pilgrimage by simply giving his or her medical fitness medical fitness certificate and requisite identity proof. The railways would provide meals thrice a day to all the passengers aboard the train.
