President of Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) and former Agriculture minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir Tuesday termed the budget 2016-17 presented by the finance minister, Dr Haseeb A Darbu on Monday as ‘golden dreams’.Mir told KNS that the tall claims of finance minister in previous budget has already exposed as they failed to fulfil their promises including waving off 50 per cent of loans to Kissans, the decision to provide marriage assistance to girls, hike in old age or other funds to Rs 1000, and others.Terming the budget presented by Drabu as golden dreams, Mir said that in fact the budget is nothing on ground. He said that as the government earlier said that the issue of Daily wagers, Adhoc employees will be raised in the upcoming budget but unfortunately they even failed to express sympathy with them.“At a time when the air-fare is already sky-scraping, the government has announced five per cent tax on aviation fuel, which will affect the tourism sector in the state and thus the tall claims of the government to boost the sector proves hoax,” Mir said.Drabu has raised the women related issues in the budget 2016-17 just to appease Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. “Why finance minister didn’t mention budget deficit during presenting the budget 2016-17 in the assembly,” he questioned.
