Senior resistance leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat today said that prosperous Pakistan is an anchor of regional peace and prosperity.Reacting to a statement of Mehbooba Mufti, Zaffer said, “Pakistan is democratic, moderate, tolerant, progressive Islamic polity. Country is richly endowed with human and natural resources. It is strategically located at the crossroads of three vital regions of the world. Its friendship and cooperation with the international community and especially with our neighbors for that matter with India can bring peace and prosperity to whole South Asian region.
”Advising Mehbooba Mufti to go through the current geo-political situation before making any comment against Pakistan as the country is supporting Kashmiris freedom struggle on political, diplomatic and moral levels.Zaffer Akbar Bhat also thanked people for observing complete shutdown against anti-Kashmir and anti-freedom movement policies of India and said that today’s strike against Sainik colony proposal, separate townships for Kashmiri Pandits, and industrial policy was people’s verdict and should be honored.He asked New Delhi to shun the idea of implementing these policies as same could have negative impact of Kashmiri society known for communal harmony and rich culture.Meanwhile salvation Movement condemned the detention of Pro-freedom leaders and termed it unethical and undemocratic. He said that such tact’s can’t suppress the ongoing freedom struggle. (KNS)
