Senior resistance leader and Chairman Salvation Movement Zaffer Akbar Bhat today expressed shock and grief over the sad demise of Peoples league leader Altaf Ahmad Mattoo at Srinagar. Bhat also condoled the sad demise of APHC leader Prof Abdul Gani’s sister.A high level delegation led by Zaffer Akbar Bhat attended the funeral prayers of Peoples league leader Altaf Ahmad Mattoo at Srinagar this evening and paid glowing tributes to deceased, who remained active at forefront till he breathed last and contributed to ongoing freedom struggle.Bhat on the occasion said that sacrifices of pro-freedom leaders, activists and workers will not be allowed to go waste and their mission of achieving the freedom from India will be realized at any cost.
“Their dream to see Kashmir independent will be realized at any cost,” he said. Zaffer Akbar Bhat expressed sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family. Meanwhile JKNPP Syed Salim Geelani, Tehreek e Kashmir ,General Musa , ,Ab Qadeer VOV ,Ab Rauf Khan coordinator VoV and Youngman’s league delegation headed by its Chairman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi,tehreek pasban Mehraj u din,Affected families Mohmmad Saleem,JKSM youth Showkat Ahmed,Traders union Fayaz Ahmed Bhat too accompanied the Zaffer Akbar Bhat and paid rich tributes to deceased leader.Imtiyaz said that the role played by deceased Altaf Ahmad will serve a torchbearer for Kashmiri nation striving for peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute.Meanwhile, Zaffer Akbar Bhat grieved the sad demise of Sr. Hurriat leader Pro-Abdul Gani Bhat’s sister. He prayed for the deceased lady and expressed sympathy with veteran Pro-freedom leader Pro-Abdul Gani Bhat who is heading Muslim Conference. (KNS)
