Senior Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat on Friday addressed a huge gathering in Tahab Pulwama and paid glowing tributes to martyrs.After Friday prayers, Zaffer Akbar Bhat led a protest rally from the residence of martyr Ishfaq Ahmad Baba to local martyr’s graveyard. Thousands of people joined the protest march and raised pro-Islam and Pro-freedom slogans.While addressing the gathering, Zaffer Akbar Bhat paid tributes to martyrs and pledged to take the mission of martyrs to its logical conclusion. He said that no economic package or any sort of benefit can be substitute to right to self determination for which people of Jammu and Kashmiris have suffered immensely, laid down lives and rendered countless sacrifices Apprising people about the prevailing situation in Kashmir, Zaffer said that Delhi administration with the help of local stooges has framed numerous policies to change the demography of state and to make ongoing freedom struggle weak which we have to thwart at any cost.He strongly opposed India’s new industrial policy of Kashmir terming it a conspiracy to settle non-Kashmiris in the territory.

“New industrial policy is another ploy to alter the Muslim majority character of the territory by settling non-Kashmiris and by giving them land on lease for setting up industries,” he said, urging people to show a united face to thwart these anti-state and anti-freedom policy.He said that setting up Sainik Colony or separate townships for Kashmiri Pandits and refugees will not be allowed as such policies have been framed to change the demography of the state.Zaffer Akbar Bhat addressing the gatherings said that Sainik Colony plan and new industry policy will be opposed ‘tooth and nail’.He said that to change the demography of the state and to dilute its special status and Kashmir issue, New Delhi under a sinister design is trying to settle ex army troopers and homeless beggars in Kashmir by establishing these separate colonies.He warned of serious repercussions if the puppet government went ahead with the plan of establishing Sainik colonies in Kashmir on Israeli type settlement policy.He termed such policies open aggression and asked people to stand up against all sinister designs of New Delhi and puppet regime.Meanwhile, Salvation Movement leaders Molvi Mohmad Rafiq, Molvi Abdul Rashid, Molunana Mohammad Showket, Molvi Mushtaq, Irshad Ahmad and Molvi Abdul Majeed addressed Friday prayers at Tahab Pulwama, Dagripora, Parigam, civil lines Srinagar, Handwara and Palhalan Pattan respectively and wowed to carry forward the martyrs mission.
