Inter-departmental competition 2016 concludes

The interdepartmental competition in the disciplines of cricket, volley ball, badminton and football (7 aside) concluded here today in Kashmir Government Polytechnic College, Gogji Bagh Srinagar.All the eight departments of the College took part in the competition with full enthusiasm and sportsman spirit. In Football Civil Engineering Department defeated mechanical Engineering department by 1-0 goals.In Badminton (doubles) Automobile Engineering department defeated Academic Cell whileas in badminton (Singles) Mehar 2nd semester student of Electrical Engineering defeated Bazila of Computer Engineering department in two consecutive sets. 

In volley ball Electrical Engineering department defeated computer engineering department and in cricket electronic and Communications Engineering department and Electrical Engineering department locked horns with each other in final, E&C Engineering department achieved the target in 08 over’s defeating the opponent team with five wickets in hand.On closing ceremony, the principal in presence of all head of departments and other staff members facilitated the runners up and winner teams with trophies and mementoes highlighting the need and importance of games and sports. Mehraj-ud-Din Mir Student of 6th semester Civil Engineering was declared the best player of the tournament. The competition was organized by the physical education wing of the college.
