Minister for Public Works Department (PWD), Punjab, Janmeja Singh Sekhon released the Logo and diary of the Engineer’s Association of the department. In a small ceremony organized in his office in The Civil Secretariat, besides others, the Additional Chief Secretary, Mr, N.S. Kalsi and various engineers and the members of the association were present.Felicitating the Engineer’s Association on the release of a very creative logo, Mr. Sekhon said that the engineers of the department have played a very important role in ushering an infrastructure revolution in the State. He said that in the last nine years SAD-BJP government has ensured connectivity to every city via 4/6 lane roads and state of infrastructure has been created in terms of modern buildings, schools, judicial complexes, link roads, Railway over Bridges(ROBs) Railway under Bridges(RUBs)and High Level Bridges.He added the engineers of PWD department have made a yeoman’s service towards it.Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Varinderjit Singh Dhindsa, the President of the Engineer’s Association informed that logo of the association is indicative of the developmental works undertaken statewide, by the engineers. He was accompanied by the Chief Engineers of the department including Mr. Ashok Kumar Singla, Mr.G.r.Bains, Mr. Ashok Kumar Goel, Mr. Yogesh Gupta and Mr. K.K.Garg. The General Secretary of the Association, Mr. Jasvir Singh Sodhi and finance secretary of the association, Mr Inderjit Singh were also present on the occasion.
