Madan Lal Sharma Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency hailed the efforts of Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi for their efforts which led to the passing of Lokpal bill in the Parliament.  The new Lokpal  bill will consist of a chairman and a maximum of 8 members of which 50%  shall be Judicial members ,50% of lokpal shall be from among SC, ST, OBCs , minorities and women. Bill mandates States to set up lokayuktas within 365 days. The bill includes societies and trusts that collect public money, receive funding from foreign sources and have an income level above a certain threshold, false and frivolous complaints imprisonment upto one year and a fine upto Rs.01 lakh, Public servant imprisonment upto 7 years and much more. The bill was a long pending demand of Shri Anna Hazare and other social activists and will bring transparency in the service delivery as the ambit and preview of the present bill is wide.
