In today’s competitive world, we have forgotten to stop and stare at the simplicity and beauty of life. Innocence has been lost somewhere.In keeping with this perspicacity, Yadavindra Public School, Mohali hosted the Inter School festival of music and dance “‘Symphony’ Music of the Spheres”, as an endeavour to unite students of schools located across the State of Punjab and the Chandigarh tri-city.Five schools participated in this Fest. The participating teams were from The British Co-Ed High School, Patiala; St. Stephen’s School, Chandigarh; St. Xavier’s High School, Panchkula; Yadavindra Public School, Patiala and the host school Yadavindra Public School, Mohali.
Mr. Harold Carver, Principal, St. Stephen’s High School, Chandigarh was the Guest of Honour at the festival. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Carver said that Festivals like these provide the best platform to showcase the talent of children and unite them in the spirit of music. He said that parents should not force their children to only focus on books but instead allow them to breathe and grow in music and dance.The breath taking Bhangra performance by Yadavindra Public School, Mohali had the audience of all ages on their feet and dancing to the beats of the folk dance.
