Minister of State for Technical Education and Power, Vikar Rasool Wani today laid foundation stone of 3.15 MVA 33/11 KV power receiving station and inaugurated additional accommodation of HSS Khari in Banihal area.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the receiving station will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.64 crore and entire area will be benefited with the facility of improved electricity. He said that the electrification of uncovered areas will be ensured in shortest possible time as it is one of the top most priority areas of Government. He said that during the last five years a large number of transformers, power lines and receiving stations have been setup in Banihal constituency to improve the power scenario in the hilly and far-flung areas.The Minister also instructed the officers of concerned department to complete the construction work of power receiving station in prescribed time so that the people of the area will avail the benefits of ongoing developmental process.He lauded the contribution of union Heath Minister for providing adequate health infrastructure especially in far-flung areas of the state. He also announced new ambulance for the area.Mr. Vikar further said that the four rooms additional accommodation at HSS Khari has been completed at an amount of Rs 38.64 lakh. This will suffice the need of school children who were facing the accommodation problem. Listing the development initiatives of the Government the Minister said that a large number of road projects have been completed and some are at completion stage. He said that government has been focusing on strengthening the road network to connect all uncovered areas. He said road connectivity is vital for the overall development of all areas.
